Newport Beach is an exclusive beach front city in Orange County, California. Newport Beach is one of the oldest cities in Orange County, being incorporated in 1906. The current population of Newport Beach is approximately 85,000 residents. Newport Beach is made-up of several areas including Newport Coast, Lido Isle, Crystal Cove, Corona del Mar and Pelican Hill. Situated ideally, halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, Newport Coast has easy access to all of Orange County on the SR55 freeway, SR 73 freeway and the 405 freeway.

There is one stand alone middle school which is Ensign Intermediate School. The second middle school is a combination middle school -- high school, Corona del Mar intermediate and High School. The Newport Beach High School is Newport Harbor High School. Newport Beach is home to several private schools including California Pacific Charter Schools, Carden Hall Inc, Christ by Sea Um Children’s Center, Newport Christian School, Newport Montessori School, Our Lady Queen of Angels School, Sage Hill School, St. Matthews Montessori School, St. Andrews Presbyterian Preschool, The Susan Phillips Day School and Tutor Time Learning Center.
Newport Beach has a Mediterranean like climate, giving the city wonderful year round weather. Among the many outdoor recreational activities in the city are tennis, swimming, surfing, beach volleyball and boating. Newport Harbor is one of the most active private boat harbors in the country. The Upper Newport Bay Ecological has miles of trails for biking, hiking, walking and bird watching. The Crystal Cove State Park is an Official California State Park with 3.2 miles of beaches, 2,400 acres of canyons and 18 miles of trails.
